What your first visit with us will be like:

When you arrive for your child's initial appointment, one of our Physical therapists, Speech Therapist, or Occupational Therapist will design a customized treatment plan for your child, taking note of your specific situation, symptoms, medical history, and any health limitations your child may have.

Below is a list of what you can expect your first appointment with Therapy Care.

  • You'll be greeted by one of our friendly front office staff. They will help you with the insurance process and treatment program so you can focus on therapy.  Make sure to have your insurance card and a government issued photo ID.

  • You and your child will meet with our therapist for an initial evaluation.

  • During the evaluation, your therapist will ask questions about your child's medical history, current pain symptoms, or injury. Be as honest as you can; open communication helps us understand your child in the best way and helps us design the most successful treatment plan specific to your child's needs.

  • At the conclusion of your initial evaluation, your therapist will recommend a treatment plan and review the goals and objectives we will focus on which are specific to your child's needs.

  • Before you leave your initial evaluation you will want to schedule your next few visits. The amount of therapy needed will be discussed with you, depending on the recommendations of your therapist. We offer many convenient appointment times, however, prime times can become busy!  Try to book ahead as much as possible.

  • Your therapist will then complete an initial evaluation report which will include details about your child's customized treatment plan.  This report will then be submit to your referring physician for approval and to let them know how we will be treating.

  • On your child's first day of treatment, your child will meet and play with their therapist.  They will be having a tremendous amount of fun and not even know they are working on specific goals for their development as part of their treatment plan.

  • If you have any questions at any time, please don’t hesitate to call us! We want to ensure your satisfaction and full recovery.
